Forsaken liches are individuals who fail in their quest to attain lichdom, but are not destroyed in the process. Their incomplete state is too unstable to sustain for long without taking extraordinary measures.1

Creation

There are many paths to lichdom that can lead to the creation of a forsaken lich. One such method is to fail to complete the occult ritual of eternal apotheosis.2
