Lathroft was the second most powerful of the shadow wizards.¹ He was killed by Elyana Sadrastis when she and her adventuring party of Stelan, Arcil, Vallyn, Daramont, and Eriah tracked the shadow wizard to his lair in the shadow wizards' library fortress, a feat which had taken nearly a year. In this epic battle Daramont fell to a summoned umbral dragon.²

He had a niece called Nadara, who was present at her uncle's final demise.³

He had owned a ring of shadow walking, which was taken by Elyana Sadrastis when the spoils of their victory over Lathroft were shared out.⁴
