Deity status?

This page needs to change to be that of a deity as well as or instead of that of an NPC / Person.--Fleanetha 14:50, 4 September 2011 (UTC)

Last I checked (Heart of the Jungle), Walkena is an advanced mummy. Has that changed? --Brandingopportunity 19:15, 4 September 2011 (UTC)
Yes I know. It's not clear and probably intentionally so. Have a look at the ISWG p128 where it strays the other way - more of a deity figure. Is there anywhere, like with Razmir, where Paizo has stated that Walkena is no actual deity just a ruse or the seeming of deity? Otherwise, we are left with a number of Golarion-folk treating Walkena as a deity and us a mystery. That's why I mentioned having both and 'hedging our bets'.--Fleanetha 20:28, 4 September 2011 (UTC)
There's also a cleric of Walkena in NPC Guide, though his alignment is Neutral which should be impossible for a Lawful Evil deity.--Filby 16:50, 15 December 2011 (UTC)
I say we keep it ambiguous until Paizo decides otherwise ... which might be never. --Brandingopportunity 20:16, 15 December 2011 (UTC)
Well, Undead Unleashed has cleared a lot up and I have updated the infoboxes and categories accordingly: I think we need both Person and Deity now. However I don't understand 'divine source' on p57 as the root of the granting of domains and assume this is a Mythic construct?? Whether that makes him a full deity then, I still don't know (I will read that book one day). I'll note here that a previous editor had placed Community, Evil, Law, Weather as the domains granted by Walkena, but I found no source for this in the referenced sources and so am making UU the main source of information for this. --Fleanetha (talk) 23:51, 6 November 2014 (UTC)
The source was NPC Guide, which featured a cleric of Walkena with the Community and Weather domains. I agree that UU is the authoritative source and overrides the evidence in NPC Guide.--Filby (talk) 05:41, 6 May 2015 (UTC)
Thanks Filby --Fleanetha (talk) 15:34, 9 May 2015 (UTC)
