Tiruvinn is an adult bronze dragon who lives in a hidden sea cave a few miles north of Nettlewood along the Lost Coast region of Varisia. While the dragon previously engaged frequently with travelers along the Lost Coast Road, with the encroachment of civilization into his territory, he has grown increasingly secretive and reclusive. He generally only interacts with others while disguised in human form, only exhibiting his true form in his lair or when hunting far out to sea.

Tiruvinn is aware of the black dragon Auhlzodrue, and waits for her to raid Sandpoint (something that he expects her to inevitably do) before revealing himself. The only citizen of Sandpoint who knows the truth about Tiruvinn is Ameiko Kaijitsu, who met him and saw through his disguise early in her adventuring career. Tiruvinn is the namesake of Ameiko's Rusty Dragon inn, and the inspiration for its dragon-shaped lightning rod and decoration.
