Vesper's Rapier is a beautifully crafted sword that changes its form to become the sword of preference of its wielder, so it actually need not be a rapier for many of its wielders. It is a major artifact. The sword originated from Shyka the Many, one of the Eldest, who granted it to the bard Vesper, for whom it took on the form of a rapier. The artifact can be destroyed if it is taken into a demiplane where time does not pass.1

Appearance

While accounts of weapons that resemble Vesper's Rapier vary alongside its form, all of them share certain visible traits, such as a blue blade, blue gemstones, a grip wrapped in naga leather, and an unusual pommel.12

Reappearances

Vesper's Rapier occasionally disappears and reappears at random locations in the world, a power thought to be tied to Shyka's connection to time.13 It has at one point been in the collection of Woodsedge Lodge, a Pathfinder lodge in Galt.41

As of 4713 AR, the blade's reappearance was expected to be due in the vicinity of Lake Silverstep in the Stolen Lands, and two contingents of fey—a fey silver dragon agent of Shyka known as Eranex sent to retrieve the weapon, and an ankou worshipper of Count Ranalc and his allies seeking to use the weapon to bring back the vanished Eldest—awaited its arrival. The two parties reached an uneasy truce, which was expected to last only until Vesper's Rapier finally reappeared.3
