The Winding Wood is the Abyssal realm of the demon lord Shivaska. It is a gloomy, temperate wilderness.

Shivaska's palace, known as the Ticking House, is an immense workhouse. Its most notable feature is a huge clock whose dial is split into thirteen hours. The clock is kept running by the slave labour of the realm's many stolen children.
