Princess Ziralia is the eldest daughter of Prince Zinlo, the ambitious ruler of the Thuvian city state of Aspenthar.

Some of the people of the Thuvian city state of Pashow have lost confidence in their ruler, Emir Guldis, and a group of them are agitating to depose Guldis and replace him with Ziralia.
