Bralvyn Ashbrand is a detective based in the city of Pitax who has been tracking the dissolution of some residents into dust, with the only connection between the cases being that all victims were fans of the diva Lanya Tagendorff or have performed in her shows. Unknown to Bralvyn, Lanya is aware of her investigation, enjoys toying with her, and seeks to convert her to the Whispering Way through her fascination with forensics.[1]
