Appearance and Emmisarries

Church of Calistria

One reason that a cleric of Calistria might become an adventurer is because of an urge to go out into the world and cause trouble, be mischievous and spread the word of the goddess through sexual encounters and trickery. Revenge is another great reason to become an adventurer, especially if a cleric has some sort of tragedy in her past. The 'Knowledge' from Calistria's domains is mostly made of secrets and gossip. Forbidden and dangerous knowledge is certainly a part of that.[1]

Calistria shows her favour with sudden good luck (often while trying to find companionship). Her displeasure is shown with plagues of wasps.[2]

Worshippers

Elves hold Calistria in high regard. Pictures of the goddess portray her as the ideal of elven beauty, often dressed in revealing clothes. Calistria's favoured insect, giant wasps, also often appear with her.

Temples and Shrines

In human lands, Calistria's temples host sacred prostitutes, and the temples are renowned for gossip and double-dealing. In elven lands, Calistria's temples resemble thieve's guilds. Formal clothing of the temples is quite typically revealing, usually yellow silk augmented with henna dye on the palms and arms of the faithful.
