Necessary?

I don't know if we need articles on basic crunchy elements such as abilities. I can't think of a way in which they differ in Golarion than they do anywhere else. -- yoda8myhead 17:17, September 8, 2009 (UTC)

Indeed. Ability scores seem like they would be ruled out by the No crunch policy. However, the Harrow deck has translated these crunchy elements into more in-world way of understanding creatures.
The PFRPG Reference Document, for example, describes the six "Ability Scores". The Harrow Divination Book, OTOH, says the six symbols correspond to "six abilities". I thought this might an interesting way to discuss the otherwise too-crunchy topic of Abilities from an in-world perspective, looking at them from the perspective of Harrow and providing a link to the Reference Document. Harrow might also provide an in-world way of looking at alignment, as well.
However, from this perspective, the pages would be necessarily short. Even if this is an appropriate way to discuss abilities, it may be better to merge them onto one page, or something like that. Your thoughts? --Goblin Witchlord 17:34, September 8, 2009 (UTC)
Perhaps one of the Harrow articles would be a better place for the descriptions of how each of the six symbols applies, such as each ability's description before the listing of the affiliated cards? Since abilities are being examined exclusively through the lens of the Harrow, I think it will keep the pseudo-crunch isolated so that it doesn't spread or cause confusion. -- yoda8myhead 17:56, September 8, 2009 (UTC)
I would agree; strength as it applies in this situation does have a place within the project, but a unique article is probably unneeded. -- Heaven's Agent 05:21, September 9, 2009 (UTC)
I've moved all that information to List of harrow cards; it certainly helps clarify/organize the Harrow information there better. --Goblin Witchlord 14:01, September 9, 2009 (UTC)
