Major settlements section

The question was brought up of why Chiron was in the Major Settlements section. My initial feeling was being listed in the ISWG it was "major". Now, I'm leaning towards calling "major" anything "large town" or larger (population 2000+)(see GameMastery Guide, p. 203), with smaller settlements being considered "minor". Any thoughts? I can see both sides of this... By the proposed definition Sandpoint would not be major (only a population of 1700). But as far as players are concerned, I think its major... so maybe 2,000 or the setting of an adventure (or two?) -- Cpt kirstov (talk) 04:05, 23 April 2013 (MSK)
Maybe trying to draw a distinction is fruitless? There aren't so many as to make a single list untenable. FoiledAgain (talk) 04:07, 24 April 2013 (MSK)
As I started this perhaps I should chime in. Cpt kirstov's point is well made: what do we mean by major and minor? I think that's the problem. If we set the titles as being, for instance, 'Cities', 'Towns', 'Smaller Communities', then all ambiguity is gone. I vote we lose 'major' and 'minor' and have a better description, though, this will affect a number of these templates. For Katapesh, specifically, FoiledAgain's suggestion of a single list of settlements is viable too as there are just a few in this nation. --Fleanetha (talk) 14:15, 27 April 2013 (MSK)
