Round Mountain is an earthen sphere 10 miles in diameter1 that was dropped onto western Po Li in 7219 IC. It was formerly part of the Hao Jin Tapestry, where it was transported centuries ago from the Darklands of Tian Xia by Hao Jin to halt an invasion of the region by the ratfolk of Diguo-Dashu.23

In 6751 IC, the ratfolk of Diguo-Dashu conquered more than a dozen cities before being repelled by Lung Wa's formidable armies. They were permanently pacified by the legendary sorceress Hao Jin,4567 who transported the ratfolk army—and a spherical section of the surrounding underground depths 10 miles in diameter1—into her personal demiplanar tapestry.7

The excavated ground became known as Old Rat's Stolen Heart,8 and the sphere became known as Round Mountain.12 Hao Jin eventually returned Round Mountain to the site of Old Rat's Stolen Heart in modern-day southwestern Po Li in 7219 IC.29
