Wands are a type of reusable magic items that are short, slender, and typically made of lightweight wood but can also be made of other materials, such as metal or glass. Each wand can cast a specific spell, and can normally be used only by spellcasters who practice the same magical tradition as its spell.12 However, techniques allow even those without the requisite spellcasting to "trick" magic items into activating, including wands.3
