Baron Araig Telus was once a fairly normal, if especially out of touch, member of the Taldan nobility however he was transformed into a flesh-hungry web lurker by a foul curse. Before the curse, Araig was also a powerful sorcerer, which has not changed with his transformation but his mind is devolving, obsessing over his hunger for human flesh.1

Baron Telus' woes began when three old women knocked on the doors of the Telus Estate over a decade ago asking for shelter from the driving rain, which Araig refused to give them. Unbeknownst to him, these were no ordinary women but were the Sisters of Indulgent Dreams, a coven of powerful night hags who were on their way to visit Count Bartelby Lotheed and the Immaculate Circle at the nearby Palace of Birdsong. They cursed Baron Telus to assume a form as verminous as his soul and, over the coming year, he slowly transformed into a web lurker. Most of his servants fled but some remained trying to appease their lord and turning to banditry over the years. The nearby town of Jambis, which had long been ruled by House Telus, was soon abandoned.2
