Gholes are foul humanoids that inhabit the wilderness and feed on rotten meat. They have a unique ability to restore flesh to even the most ancient of skeletal remains, allowing them to harvest flesh from long-forgotten ruins.1

Appearance

A typical ghole stands at 6 feet tall and weighs 250 pounds, with a hulking form and a long, vulture-like neck. The head of a ghole has a disgusting, one-eyed visage.1

Ecology

Some gholes cling to their favorite skeletons and revisit the same meals repeatedly, while others hoard ancient skeletons and relish the taste of restored flesh. They may also capture sick individuals and hold them captive in tombs or crypts, waiting for them to succumb to their illness and provide the most scrumptious meal for these unsavory creatures.1
