This is an article on the settlement in the Tusk Mountains. For information on the island and settlement in the Mwangi Expanse of the same name, see Haven.

Haven is a secluded and tranquil village nestled within a hidden valley to the north of Hillcross in the Tusk Mountains. Unusually, the village is populated by both Kellids and giants who live peacefully together, who also work together on the terraced farms built into the nearby slopes. Its inhabitants dwell in crude stone structures characterized by monastic simplicity, and the streets regularly see the presence of strangely calm dire bears, smilodons, winter wolves, mammoths, and mastodons.

Despite its serene exterior, Haven guards a deeply unsettling secret. Concealed within the village's grand hall is a cold-tolerant bodysnatcher, a creature notorious for consuming and duplicating the village's guests. The primary servitor of this insidious entity is the druid Lenas. Lenas was the one who discovered the bodysnatcher seedling, nurtured it to maturity, and ultimately offered his own body for its purposes.

Lenas bears the Verdant Stone, an ancient amulet with multifaceted properties. This artifact not only bestows regenerative abilities upon nearby plants but also ensures the longevity of Lenas's vegetative form. Additionally, it grants him complete access to the druidic powers he wielded in life.1
