Janar Malakra is the leader of the Amellas al-Hekbah, a group of desert giants granted imperial citizenship in Qadira in recognition for their services protecting travellers of the Meraz Desert. The Amellas Hekbah is made up of a following of several different desert giant tribes and it is from Janar's tribe that the most fearless caravan guards of the last century have come. Janar rose to famed when he single handled bested an enormous behir, saving the life of a trade prince in the Ketz Desert south of Katheer.
