A sword cane is a sword with a blade like a rapier, but is sheathed inside of a walking stick or cane instead of a scabbard. A sword cane's hilt is often fashioned from decorative metal or wood to resemble the cane's handle. Sword canes afford a degree of subtle protection compared to openly carrying an obvious weapon, and can more easily be smuggled past inspectors or other security measures.
