Wands are a type of reusable magic items that are short, slender, and typically made of lightweight wood but can also be made of other materials such as metal or glass. Each wand is used to cast a specific spell, and can be used normally only by particular spellcasters, such as spellcasters of the divine magic tradition for a divine spell.23 However, techniques can be learned by which even a person without the requisite spellcasting can "trick" magic items into activating, including wands.4
