A banshee is the restless spirit of commonly elves who was either betrayed by or who betrayed trusted friends in the moments before dying.213 Banshees despise the living, with some speculation that kinder mortals lead to even crueler banshees. This tragic end only motivates elves to both put the banshee to rest and right the wrongs that created it.14

Abilities

Banshees are known for their deadly piercing wail and terror-inspiring touch.14

Banshees become sluggish when in sunlight.4

On Golarion

In Tanglebriar, the blighted domain of the nascent demon lord, Treerazer, many banshee are found as its in the elven nation of Kyonin.4
