What ever happened to the creature subtype categories? -Brandingopportunity

As far as I'm aware, nothing has happened to them; they were added somewhat late, if I remember correctly, and as a result early creature articles may not have them. That said, it probably wouldn't hurt to come to a uniform naming convention for such categories. Right now we have Category:Native subtype creatures, Category:Goblinoid subtype creatures, and even Category:Devil.
As the titles for type categories are one word (and some subtype categories wouldn't work with one word titles anyway; [[Category:Gobliniods]] would work, but [[Category:Fires]] just doesn't jive), I think we should just go with [[Category:Goblinoid subtype]], [[Category:Fire subtype]], etc. -- Heaven's Agent 05:54, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
That seems like a good idea to me. Sorry, still learning how to do this formatting. --brandingopportunity 13:12, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
No worries. If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask. -- Heaven's Agent 17:20, 4 January 2009 (UTC)

Cleanup

Geez, I need to re-edit this entire page. We don't use half the things that are mentioned here. --Brandingopportunity 19:30, 14 March 2011 (UTC)

I've made a pass at cleaning up and updating this page. Let me know if the changes help, or if other info would be useful. -Oznogon (talk) 09:44, 5 November 2018 (UTC)

Any environment creatures

Insert quote text here, without quotation marks.

Is this accurate? Category:Any environment creatures is well populated. --Oznogon (talk) 16:30, 17 September 2014 (UTC)

Second edition

The Creature template has features for second edition, but this article doesn't mention them. It looks like there are second edition categories, such as Level 12 creatures, are they appropriate to use? Thanks! — ellep (talk) 05:31, 25 December 2020 (UTC)

Yes, ellep, it should and has a banner at the top reminding us. I am afraid there are a lot of unfinished / not started tasks around the wiki. The information you are looking for, though, is mostly discussed at Template:Creature and Template:Creature tabbed. --Fleanetha (talk) 14:50, 25 December 2020 (UTC)
Thank you! I had hoped those were the right places to look. Thank you again for reviewing Gimmerling, that answered many of the questions I still had about the process. — ellep (talk) 01:43, 28 December 2020 (UTC)
