Retcon

Paizo referred to elemental scamps as mephits until the publication of the Pathfinder Second Edition Bestiary, and began solely referring to them as scamps in Rage of Elements. See Bestiary pg. 150, Rage of Elements pg. 3, and Pathfinder Core Preview pgs. 2, 13.

Errata

Rage of Elements 43 unintentionally omitted a retroactively changed description of elemental scamp appearance in its description of scamp familiars. It describes scamps as:

The elementals called scamps look humanoid in appearance, except for the elemental matter in their bodies and their batlike wings.

This description was corrected in the "Official Pathfinder FAQ and Errata" document:

The elementals called scamps look similar to bats, but their bodies are made primarily of elemental matter. They have large, staring eyes and small, curved fangs.

PathfinderWiki uses the corrected version. -Oznogon (talk) 15:24, 27 May 2024 (UTC)
