Template:Update

From PathfinderWiki
Template documentation (for the above template, sometimes hidden or invisible)
Subpages of this template:

{{Update}} is a banner template designed to flag articles or sections that have significantly outdated canon facts as well as major unincorporated sources that can be used to update the article. It also categorizes the article in Category:Articles in need of updates. See also {{U}} and PathfinderWiki:Meta page guidelines for documenting unincorporated sources.

This template should be used on articles that require widespread or significant updates to existing information. For articles that are significantly incomplete, see {{Stub}}. For minor details or updates of unknown scope, adding this template is unnecessary, and adding the unincorporated source to the Meta page is sufficient.

Usage

{{Update |scope= |source= |reason= |since= }}

Only source is required.

Example

{{Update |scope=section |source=''[[Tian Xia World Guide]]'' |reason=this subject's description is significantly changed in the source |since=~~~~~ }}

Results in:

Flag an article to request updates. Use sparingly for articles that have been made largely or wholly inaccurate by new sources. For noting unincorporated sources, use Template:U on an article's Meta page (see PathfinderWiki:Meta page guidelines).
