Excuse the third person, but it just sounds cooler that way:

Jack Butler was born and raised in Orlando, Florida. He's a professional chef, and when he's not cooking he's writing, or running games for his sons, his friends, and his nieces.

Jack is one of the original authors of the Evil Overlord List. Yes, that Evil Overlord List, the one you've heard so much about and thought was funny. Right... yes, Jack was one of the people who started it up.

Jack has been gaming since 1975, which officially makes him a Grognard. Over the intervening thirty-five plus years, he's built this fantastic gameworld for his Dungeons and Dragons campaign, and has run multiple campaigns within its confines.

When Dungeons and Dragons 4th Edition was released, Jack took a look at it, ran a couple of games using the new rules, played in a couple of games using the new rules, and then said, "Nope... this is a big steaming pile of crap." And went looking for an alternative. At first, it looked as if Fantasy Hero would be the new rules he used, but eventually Jack landed on the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game. And he's never been happier.

Jack was part of the play-testing crew for Steve Jackson Games' Autoduel Champions, and was a contributor for Champions Powers, a supplement for the Hero System 6th Edition.
