Newly recruited Pathfinders are gathered by Venture-Captain Sheila Heidmarch to track down Natalya Vancaskerkin, a missing agent. Heidmarch suspects Vancaskerkin has been cursed by a piece of the Shattered Star (also called the Sihedron). The players must recover this piece - the Shard of Pride and find a way to nullify the shard's curse. Once they do, the shard gives a vision to the next missing piece, which happens to be in a piling of the Irespan, also in Magnimar. Battling guardians and traps dating back to Thassilon, the players eventually recover the Shard of Greed.
