Categorization Question
As the wiki grows, there is a question over how to categorize people and places - please see the 'debate' here: Forum:Categories about people inconsistency. Currently the help pages are inconsistent re which fashion to adopt.--Fleanetha 22:14, 31 January 2011 (UTC)
Parent categories
I saw a bunch of articles had national parent categories removed (Steyr is a recent example). That goes against this help page.
“Always put your article into the most specific category, then also into its parent categories up to an appropriate point.
”
Does it need to be changed? —Oznogon (talk) 17:09, 27 March 2015 (UTC)
More examples
After all the trouble I went through regarding categorisation standardisation and such, I think this page could use four examples (or something around that) to demonstrate exactly what constitutes 'overcategorisation', as the Belor Hemlock example alone is clearly insufficient. - HTD (talk) 00:26, 7 February 2019 (UTC)
