Immured are undead resembling pale corpses, created after a living creature is buried alive and suffocates. 1

Appearance

Immured resemble pale corpses with pale blue lips, like a living creature that died through suffocation. They make gasping noises, as if struggling to breathe.1

Abilities

Immured are bound to the location they died, slowly disintegrating if they are removed from that location or travel too far. They can open rifts in mundane walls, making it possible for them and other creatures to pass through the wall as it did not exist. Immured emit an aura that sucks away the air from the area immediately around them, forcing living combatants to hold their breath or risk suffocation. This effect is strong enough to put out fires.1

Ecology

Immured are created after a living creature dies in a sealed chamber, often after the creature has intentionally been sealed within the chamber. These creatures typically perish via suffocation. 1

Scholars have remarked on the similarities between the undead known as immured and walcofindes. Both result from living creatures dying in sealed chambers, but have notably different abilities and appearances. Walcofindes can possess structures and resemble a decaying corpse, while immured resemble pale blue corpses and are able to suffocate victims. Speculation suggests the differences between the two undead creatures may be due to how their progenitors died.2
