Origami
Servitude
Inma is the most powerful kishin oni dwelling in Tian Xia.123
Appearance
Inma is a dark-skinned, three-eyed, four-armed void yai.1
Home
Inma's stronghold, the Nightford Shrine, is a small fortress located in a hidden valley under the highest peak in the Nightford Mountains in Chu Ye. Its vast vaults extend deep into the Darklands below, and the so-called Empress of the World had until recently spent centuries inside it without stepping out into the world she claims to rule.4
Followers
Her followers demonstrate their obedience by crafting origami figures of the beings they seek to rule.1
Enemies
Zhulong
Inma captured the underworld dragon wyrmling Zhulong and trapped them in a small cage as part of a menagerie kept in Nightford Mountains fortress, then turned Zhulong's former lair into her own treasure vault. Zhulong—their growth stunted by their cage—escaped after its latch was improperly closed and proceeded to plot their revenge against Inma.5
Zhulong has remained hidden in a human disguise while raising support among other underworld dragons5 and gathering magical artifacts,6 and their recently launched assault on Inma has wrought earthquakes and volcanic activity in the Nightford Mountains,56 some of which have freed other creatures held captive in Inma's menagerie.6
For the first time in centuries, the conflict with Zhulong has forced Inma to emerge from solitude, an act that has reshaped oni society in Chu Ye, sparked rumors of an invasion of Tian Xia, or seeking a new shogun to replace Tsuneni. However, reports from Mizu Ki Hikari spies suggest she is quietly reinforcing her fortress's defenses, a rare and shocking weakness, and the rebel organization has dispatched kitsune volunteers into the Darklands in order to contact and ally with Zhulong agains their mutual enemy.7
