Onyvolans are humanoids with wheels where other humanoids have hands and feet, which they use to move swiftly. Many live in cities as scavengers. Onyvolans have unique senses of fashion and collect a variety of eccentric clothing.1

Appearance

Onyvolans largely resemble humans except for the obvious distinction of their wheels in place of hands and feet. These wheels are organic, grown from a material similar to keratin, like incredibly specialized fingernails. Onyvolans also enjoy wearing ostentatious outfits, with an emphasis on colorful clothing and hats. Such is their preference that almost all Onyvolans are seen wearing a hat.1

Society

Onyvolans typically live within the cities of other humanoids, especially in larger cities such as Oppara, Cassomir, and Taldor. There, they live in clans of fewer than twenty individuals and scavenge the city's refuse for food and clothing, as their lack of manipulators make it difficult to produce their own of either. These groups commonly make their homes in the city's untrafficked areas, like secluded alleys and sewer systems.2

Onyvolans occasionally skirmish over territory and resources, but such clashes infrequently lead to violence; the rival groups prefer to quarrel loudly for a short time. Onyvolans almost never leave the boundaries of their home city since the packed earth and paved roads of a city's streets are much easier for them to traverse than rough terrain. Their behavior toward other humanoids is largely parasitic, from their scavenging to occasional direct theft and harassment of other city dwellers, and is largely motivated by their desires for entertainment or a particular possession of the victim.2
