Trileet is a major centre of maritime commerce in the First World.1

Geography

Trileet is located on three adjacent volcanic islands and the shallow water between them; this place was chosen by the ekekeh founders of the city due to its defensibility and access to surface traders. Designed to be accommodating to both land and water dwellers, the above-ground part of Trileet is networked with canals, while the underwater part is filled with magical air tubes. The volcanoes under Trileet's islands have long been dormant, but strange gases and minerals can still be found in the water seeping up from geothermal vents, above one of which is Songsea Cathedral. Districts of the city include ramshackle Longshoal and wealthy Watchrocks on land, and Wetmarket and the Reef below the waters.1

Government

Trileet is jointly ruled by an aquatic chancellor (currently Kaweh'i) and a surface-dwelling vice-chancellor (currently Efram Marnabit). The two roles hold nearly equal power, but some land dwellers bristle at how they could never be elected chancellor. Trileet's civic officers meet in the Concord Spire, where air breathers sit on skiffs.1
