Tsukiwa (pronounced TSOO-key-wah)1 is a former mining town turned independent fortress located in western central Chu Ye, on the western end of the Nightford Mountains.2

History

The former site of iron mines, its residents enlisted stone and cloud giants to continue tunneling into the mountainside and transformed it into a relatively diverse city.2

The town's isolation kept it from being infiltrated by oni as in the rest of Chu Ye's settlements, and Hisui, the sole caldera oni to enter, was quickly captured. Chu Ye's oni ruler Tsuneni laid siege to Tsukiwa for three years before settling for an agreement in which the town would supply gemstones and ore under the token supervision of Hisui and three additional mountain oni. In practicality, all four oni are hostages of Tsukiwa.

Relations

The people of Tsukiwa publicly avoid sympathizing with Chu Ye's resistance, but in secret they have continued expanding tunnels that facilitate communication with Mizu Ki Hikari resistance elements in the Chuyokai Forest as well as the army of the underworld dragon Zhulong.2
