An emerald grasshopper is a talisman in the form of a metal grasshopper studded with emeralds. When affixed to armor, typically the legs, the talisman's magic power can be unleashed by athletic individuals to jump up to 40 feet (12.2 m) horizontally and 10 feet (3 m) vertically. Failure to land on solid ground results in falling harmlessly, similarly to a feather fall spell.

The greater emerald grasshopper is a more powerful alternative to the standard talisman, increasing the jump distance up to 100 feet (30.5 m) horizontally and 30 feet (9.1 m) vertically.
