Queen Hyeon Geon-ji1 is a member of the Nuri Family and queen of the Flower Kingdom of Hwanggot as of 4724 AR.2

Her mother, the previous queen Yeon Eun-sook,1 began the process of transferring power to Princess Hyeon Geon-ji in 4711 AR, but many advisors had raised concerns about the princess's seeming refusal to adhere to traditional Tian-Hwan values of peace above all else. Princess Hyeon Geon-ji's approach toward Hwanggot's most aggressive neighbour, the kingdom of Bachuan, did not followed this tradition of diplomacy. She began erecting a series of massive stone fortifications along the southern banks of the Xiong Dao River that marks Hwanggot's border with Bachuan.3

As queen, she continues to act in ways that might reignite tensions with Bachuan.2
