Unified Magical Theory

The Unified Magical Theory is a hypothetical conceptual understanding of the ideal nature of arcane magic. Wizards who eschew formal study at a single school or of a single arcane discipline often attempt to pursue their own Unified Magical Theory through diverse, self-guided study.1

With the removal of the eight schools of magic as part of the Pathfinder Second Edition Remaster Project, Player Core pg. 200–201 introduced the Unified Magical Theory with equivalent mechanics as the universal practice of all eight schools.
