Djederet I was the pharaoh who ordered the construction of the Face of the Bronze Man, a massive bronze-face likeness of himself in the side of a mountain in the Brazen Peaks chain where the Eyes of the Bronze Man mines are still located. Rumors suggest that he also created an extensive tomb somewhere else among long-defunct mines in the peaks; however, his final resting place was located elsewhere.Cite error: Invalid <ref>
