Legacy 2E: Core Rulebook (Second Edition) 604 also had the trait.

A consumed aeon stone, or dull gray aeon stone, is a variety of aeon stone that has lost its special magical power and any resonant power—most likely because a single-use aeon stone was used, or a tourmaline sphere or pale lavender ellipsoid aeon stone was overused—yet still continues to orbit around the user's head. These stones often are used by spellcasters as easily portable and hands-free targets of their magic.12 When they are the target of a continual flame spell, they are sometimes referred to as ioun torches.3
