New Images

Either I am a moron, or something is wrong. Why won't it allow us to upload the new versions of the images under the same name, or if it is uploading, why won't the correct image display? I've cleared my brower's cache, restarted, and nothing seems to change. --Brandingopportunity 17:47, 11 April 2011 (UTC)

If you click the image to see the full size version, you'll see the new version. I don't know why it takes a while sometimes to show up. Something's weird with the thumbnail maker for old versions as well. —Yoda8myhead 18:13, 11 April 2011 (UTC)

This is probably related to a back-end issue that I've been tracking. WARNING: Technical details follow. After I moved our images to Amazon S3, our /tmp directory began to fill up with image files. I've inquired about the issue with the developer of the plugin that facilitates S3 storage. I didn't hear anything, so I decided to try deleting the temp files. Everything seemed to be OK, so after a while I scheduled a job to run every hour that deletes temp image files older than 24 hours. Now I'm seeing references to those temp files in the thumbnail errors. Hrm, I'll look into it. *sigh* —Aeakett 22:15, 11 April 2011 (UTC)
