Fortifying leeches are used by bloatmages as a replenishing source of leeches. These leeches are applied by dumping the greenish fluid and leeches over the head. For the next eight hours, the user has a temporary increase to their life force, but at the cost of being repulsive to others. Bloatmages gain some temporary magical strength as well. The jar refills automatically after 24 hours.[1]
