Hectela Djaq is the Principle Mindforger of Ecanus.1 One of her chief duties is Mindstreaming information into the Ecanusi military, a process that is not only painful but frequently deadly.2 Along with combat tactics, she also passes along her traumatic memories of Valkus Isle in an attempt to rid herself of them. As the only person known to have escaped from the island, this information is incredibly valuable, but the nature of the Mindstreaming process means that these memories are fractured and spread across thousands of people.1
