Kharilah III
Padishah Empress Kharilah III was one of the Padishah Emperors who ruled the mighty empire of Kelesh during the Age of Enthronement. The most notable action of Kharilah III was in 1532 AR when she granted the Satrap of Qadira, Xerbystes I, his request that the position of satrap be made hereditary, but in exchange for this concession, the satrap relinquished control of Qadira's foreign affairs to an imperial vizier. Kharilah III did this as she did not share Xerbystes I's lust for war with neighbouring Taldor and wanted to avert more bloodshed. In fact, she believed that Taldor's current war was so unsustainable that Taldor would soon collapse under the economic pressure and voluntarily join the empire of Kelesh. History would prove Kharilah III greatly mistaken.12
