Kienek-Li
Kienek-Li is the most famous azarketi settlement near the Isle of Kortos,1 several miles north of Escadar.23
Geography
Kienek-Li's oldest part, the Boneglade, consists of structures made from bleached, branching coral rising from a living reef. The sprawling buildings of the Float, which makes up the rest of the city, are made from wood and anchored to the sea bed by heavy chains, and honeycombed by passages accessible from all directions.1
Government
Kienek-Li's traditional surface trading partner has been Escadar, until its newly elected Sealord Amodjun decided that it needs diplomatic and economic ties to other nations. Consequently, the government has started to hire non-Absalomian mercenaries to protect the water-filled carriages carrying Kienek-Li's diplomats.1
The city has an embassy in Escadar known as the House of the Cresting Wave, which is where their ambassador, Lemaria Kumari, arranges the details of their surface trading in Escadar.2
