Nafet-Ti was the lover of Pharaoh An-Hepsu III. At the Pharaoh's dying request, she turned various members of his household to stone. This way they could be placed, as statues, in his tomb and accompany him for eternity. She was later mummified so she could serve as a guardian over the tomb; Nafet-Ti works together with a flock of sandstone gargoyles and employs caryatid columns to accomplish that goal.1 The recent opening of the tomb by the Ruby Prince has awakened her.1
