A runewell is a magical artifact created by the ancient runelords of Thassilon. Seven types of runewell were created, each attuned by its creator to one of the seven sins of Thassilonian sin magic: greed, sloth, wrath, envy, lust, gluttony, and pride.1 These runewells were designed to extract magical power from the souls of mortals attuned to one of the mortal sins and store them within.2

Alaznist was known to employ an anima focus as an anchor between her runewell of wrath and the Universe.3
