This template formerly provided the infoboxes for articles but was removed in favor of the new {{Infobox}} template, which uses data from the Semantic Data Initiative to populate its contents. This page is intentionally retained to provide context for links to this template that were created in past discussions across the wiki, but this template should not be transcluded into pages.

{{Removed infobox template}} provides a boilerplate explanation for the absence of old infobox templates since replaced by those using semantic data. This provides context for links in older discussions predating the new template usage, and categorizes the template as documentation since it serves to document its absence.

Do not use this template anywhere but in the Template namespace for former infobox templates.
