Theratylus
The atrocities of the black dragon Theratylus are etched into human history. He (or she, the gender of the creature having been lost) is said to have slain over 10,000 soldiers in a titanic battle, although human historians claim the actual number was closer to 2,000. Theratylus is seen as a prime example of the might of the black wyrms of ages past, against whom contemporary dragons pale in comparison.1
