Sovereign shabti

A sovereign shabti is a hollow statuette crafted prior to a mortal's death in order to create a shabti facsimile that suffers judgment and punishment from Pharasma in their stead. Once the shabti suffers the mortal's punishment, the sovereign shabti crumbles.1

Creation

Sovereign shabtis were deployed by some royals of Ancient Osirion,1 where the details of their creation were closely held secrets by cults and dynasties. However, methods of creating shabtis were discovered in parallel across an unknown number of planets beyond Golarion.2

Related items

Mundane versions known as ushabtis are often displayed in ancient Osirian tombs as funerary figures.23
