Mistholme

From PathfinderWiki

Mistholme is a ruined dwarven settlement beneath the Fog Peaks of Taldor that was collapsed to stop a demonic invasion in 4048 AR.1

History

In 4038 AR, a clan of dwarves in Mistholme opened a well of many worlds into the Plane of Fire, where they established a fruitful trade relationship with an ifrit2 city. After a decade of profitable trade, they opened another portal which instead led to the deep Outer Rifts that resulted in a massive invasion of demons.1

To halt the invasion, the city's leaders collapsed the underground city onto itself, trapping their wealth, the demons, and the well beneath and killing the dwarven inhabitants.1

The ruins have remained largely undisturbed since, and it is not known whether demons still dwell within.1
