Aolaz
Aolazes are ancient Jistkan constructs of war.1
Appearance
Aolazes have some commonality in construction, though their specific appearance can differ substantially. An aolaz will be carved from stone and metal with some sort of magical power source implanted to give the creation a semblance of life. Jistkan aolazes typically resembled giant forms of land creatures like elephants and dinosaurs.1
Abilities
The most famous ability of the aolaz was the extent to which it could pursue its targets. The constructs were often granted the ability to speed across water and even through the air in order to achieve their goals. The constructs also often had incredible senses, such as being able to track targets movement by hearing from great distances. Other specific abilities would vary from creation to creation, though blasts of energy were not uncommon.1
Ecology
Most extant aolazes reside in museums or are merely battlefield ruins of archeological interest. Few, if any, functional models exist in the Inner Sea region.1
