Automatic writing planchette

An automatic writing planchette is a small heart-shaped wooden board on wheels that holds a pencil and is used to facilitate automatic writing, such as during a seance. While a psychically sensitive practitioner is in contact with the planchette, spirits in a haunted place can guide its path to communicate.
