Ben Willhuff is the owner of the Dead Well inn in the hamlet of Piren's Bluff in Andoran. It is said that he was an alleged gambler who has retired to Piren's Bluff to enjoy his spoils. In his 70's, Ben has the reputation of a very lucky man and he claimed his good fortune came from the old well enclosed in his inn.^[1]

The truth is that Ben Willhuff made a fortune running one of the most powerful thieves' guild in Absalom, more than 50 years ago, when he was known as The Black Rose.^[2]
